10001412000107 (1964 LWB) sold at Bonhams in Fairfield in September. http://www.bonhams.com/usa/auction/19385/lot/737/#. Nice shape, aside from aftermarket speakers. Wood very good.

Derick TeeKing (tbdk)http://www.m-100.cc/forum/pop_profile.asp?mode=display&id=137 was at the show with his 1972 600 SWB, a wonderful car and super nice guy; alas, his photo was cut from coverage in the December Hemmings.

Both cars are in the registery already, but thank you for this new picture.

About the LWB, it is at this moment the fourth oldest known 4door Pullman. It is a european car [german delivered]. It has a Sandon aircocompressor, which is not original. Also that car is missing the idle adjustment for the airco {while after market addition).

Paul,

I see 624 is for sale in your neck of the woods.

What the heck is next to it in picture 14?

Hi Brent,
000624 is the only 600 with a factory build "tunnel gearshift".
see pic 5

In pic 10 you see also a lightblue 600 in the background. That car has a lugage storage on top of the roof, which can be removed. Vin is 000980.

same car without lugage storage:

Hello Paul

On the Pullman from the Bonham's auction, do you believe the interior to be mostly original?

The velour looks like it may be original, but it looks like the piping along the front edge of the rear seat bottom is sitting awkwardly along the seat.

The wood finish looks excellent, and does not look over-finished like most 'restored' wood is. Maybe that is original too?

I would say the front seats in the pullman have been re-done by the looks of the seat covers.

Any opinions?

They aren't the best of photos so it is sort of tough

I also forgot to ask:

Paul, how many other 600's have you seen with that configuration of folding rear facing seats?

Have you also noticed the two tiny push/pull knobs on the left and right of the A/C vents in the front? ANd there is also one other knob directly below the vents. Those can be seen in the pictures on ebay of the car. What do you make those out to be?

Hi Luis,

It looks to me that the interior is pretty original, but the rearseat looks renewed. But that is hard to tell from this little pics.

About the airco: You know that original airco had the UNIQUE ONE BUTTON managing. Because I wrote already that the airco has been build in in a later stadium, they have NOT the one button managing. They have created a three button managing as usual in other cars.
I believe the thicker button at the front is for the coolingcapacaty and the two smaller buttons on the bottom are for the blower(s).
I think to recognize two buttons like the idle-increase as used next to the hightknob for the airsuspension.
I think they used an aircoboxunit is from a W111-coupe in the interior.

About the rear folding seats. They are mostly fixed types when mounted vis-a-vis. This car has more the type they used in a 6door car, because the back of the seats is a very thin type.
What I remember from the folding seats is that this type or the type that only the bottom is folding up and the thicker backside is mounted fixed.

As far as my knowledge reaches:

Ordered in Great Brittan and as far as I know delivered to Middlesex (Ford factory??), the car later shows up in the US statistics as US-deliverd .... auctioned by BarrettJackson Scotsdale AZ jan 17 in 2002 with US Licensplate on it.
It has no sidemarkers and full amber frontsignals as usual for US-cars.

Michael,

Excellent eye! I had not noticed that before.

This car has been on and off of craigslist in San Jose for over a year. I'm speculating but it seemed to have passed through the hands of a few owners in CA prior to ending up where it is now on ebay.....I believe Illinois?

Also take a look at the backs of the front seats. I have seen other pictures of this car. It seems to have some unique writing tables covered in leather. I have never seen anything like it on a 600.
The car also has those unique door panels with special pockets.

NO WAY,

that car has an other VIN. That mentioned Vin can't hold.

@ Luis, I haven't seen that from his writingtables. I will look through my pics, what I can find. Also the Vin-plate and dataplate are missing under the bonnet. I had seen it had lockable glovesboxes in the reardoors.
