Here is one more, I know you have it on the list, but I'm not sure how to know if you have pictures of the car.

https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/cars-for-sale/mercedes-benz/600/1917543.html

It says 66 but I think it's a 65

Yes, we have that one also.

If a Vin is mentioned we have at least one picture.

When the named Vin is starting with xxx we have only the datacard and still not one picture found.

Thank you Paul for explaining that. I won't bother posting any cars unless it is in the XXX category.

Hello,

I am doing some research for 100012 12 000932 for Bonhams Auctions. The car is coming for sale at their Quail sale in August. My question is you have the car identified as a 1967, but it is currently titled as a 1968. It does have items found in the early model, such as the smaller wheel covers, wood binnacle, and wood under the arm rest. But it does have the higher center console with the refrigerator. I just want to confirm the year of the car properly before the sale.

Thanks
Ryan

Ryan,
That car 000932 is definitly an 1967 produced car.

If that car stood longer time at a dealer before sale to the fist owner (in 1968 ??) I can't tell you. I miss those data still ....

To help clarify, the title of the car is more likely to reflect its date of first sale than the date it came off the production line. This more commonly happens with expensive cars after the first few years of production. In the first year, pre-orders mean rapid sales. As time goes by, sales lag after the date of manufacture. My 1991 titled 560SEC was manufactured in April 1990. It was about 18 months from when it was produced to when it was first sold.

Thank you so much! Do you happen to have any other information about 000932? I do have the data card in hand, but help with decoding it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Thank you! The car still wears it original Havana Brown paint. The interior was thought to be original too, but how dark is dark Brown leather. This seems to be a darker tan? Everything else matches the color code, the walnut wood and carpet color. The car has only covered 45K miles and everything matches in the car so I would doubt somebody would go to the trouble to change everything. The car was in the ownership of Karl Middelhauve before the current owner, so I guess it is possible he did it. He did not remember the car when I reached out to him, so I am unsure of what work he did perform. But the car is in great condition and is currently in getting its air suspension adjusted properly before auction photos. Thank you so much for your help!

Do you happen to know the name of the NY dealership that first sold it?

Thanks
