I promised I would upgrade the hose part numbers to the current numbers when I had time. Gunter may have all he needs from Oliver, but here goes anyway.

This is what I have at the moment.
900271 012018D = 12mm water hose
900271 080008D = 80mm air hose
900271 038025D = 38mm water hose
900271 020011D = 20mm water hose
900271 032008D = 32mm water hose
900271 042012D = 42mm water hose

Hi Art, Oliver and others,

I recieved Olivers package, And WOW, he shipped me a large box FULL of different hoses, water-hoses, air-hoses, high-pressure hoses and what not. And all that as an early christmas-present.

I'm now taking stock as to the state of all the hoses I can make out, and I can use the spares Oliver sent me.

I guess that if I had to buy them all seperately, I would be looking at a few hundred euro's, so Oliver is going to get very drunk from all the different Belgian strong beers I'm going to present him come next spring!

Art, I won't be coming to Australia any time soon, but you deserve it too, for your work, and your patience with me. THANX!

Gunter

That's all I can think of at the moment. All these clamp numbers are from my old Parts Catalogues will upgrade to current M-B clamps. A lot of the hose part numbers will as well. As you are in Europe, I guess you will deal with the Classic Center there or the dealer. If you have trouble, get back to us, because we can get upgraded numbers from Tom Hanson at the USA Classic Center of from our own records.

Some of the high pressure lines can be rebuilt reusing the end pieces. The oil line to the air compressor and the return fuel line hose are the most important if they have not been replaced already.

I am trying to get the right side heater inlet hose and classic center keeps on sending me a hose that is duplicate of left hand side that is looks like a S shape. You guys have any suggestions?

I have # 353 built in Dec 1968. I altered the left hose and used it for the right. Not Kosher for a restoration I suppose but it worked well and was a factory part. I know there were different hoses for different years.

Thanks for the update. Did you have to cut it and insert a metal pipe to twist the ends?

Jim, thanks. It is different. I have the picture but am unable to upload. If I may explain it is almost an S shape but the top end is at 90 deg to the axis

6.3 nut:

In the parts book it states that from chassis 000151 the right side heater hose from the engine to the heater case connection is part number 109-831-02-94, while the left side is 109-831-03-94. While yours is an early car, it's not early enough to utilize the early hose (up to chassis 000151) which uses two of the 109-831-03-94)

As it turn out, the hose you need, part number 109-83-02-94, is no longer available. However, I believe that the hose a 4.5 or 3.5 uses will suffice, part number 109-834-05-94, which is still available.

Here are pictures of the heater hoses. Left side hose is 1098340394 which now subs to 3135060435 and is readily available. Right side hose is the NLA 1098340294. I tried twisting the 0435 hose 90 degrees and it appears it would work perhaps having to trim off a bit. It would be nice to see if the 1098340594 hose mentioned by Aaron would be a better fit. Can't find a picture of that one.

Thanks Aron for the update, can you please confirm the part number I can not find it on any parts website. Also if you have a picture you can upload, it will be a great help.

Well I finally got hold of Tom at classic center and he is sending me the hose. It is “L" shaped. Once I get it I can provide details. As a matter of fact I had found .75" Grant’s "L” shaped hose and have ordered it. If the one coming from Classic Center works then the Grant one will be returned

What exactly are you wanting a picture of? I'm not sure how else to confirm what I stated other than quoting you the footnotes like I did.

Aaron, the reason I asked you to send an image and reconfirm the part number was because
a) I can not find the part number you provided
b) When I sent the part number to Classic Center, Tom corrected it and showed me a hose with 109-831-05-94
c) The hose being sent is an L shape. With part number not matching with the one you listed an image would help me compare the hoses

Hope this clarifies any confusion
