So that idea goes out the window.

I see that the rear seat cushions are completely different than the normal production seats too.

If you aren't constantly impressed with your car, then it needs fixing.

It must have been interesting listening to the secret service guys puffing and panting as they ran alongside the car ...

What the heck, try to stuff a MB 6.9 liter V8 in it. What a machine that would be..

Ron,
that car has an intercomsystem for speaking to thge passengers, but an other to speak to people outside the car (during a attaque ??). Because they had no possibility to let down the heavy windows. That common hydraulic option was not fitted in the panzerd cars.

this in particular is the (in [still] factory-ownership second) haevy panzered car with 7 cm raised roof.

The third known panzered LWB is the darkred LWB from the Shah of Iran.

Paul,
A few people on the Down Under Rally, John Freeman in particular, took a series of detail photos of the ex Bob Jane silver RHD long roof landalaut in the Lindsay Fox collection last September. They have sent them to me and I am sure none of them would mind my passing them on to you if you would send me a personal e.mail at artlove@bigpond.net.au so I can send them to you in full resolution.

Art, that makes FIVE from 10 produced RHD:
100-015-22-000601 Sultan v Brunei (Presidential)
100-015-22-001743 Sultan v Brunei (short softtop)
100-015-22-001942 Australie (Presidential)
100-015-22-002020 Premier South Africa (short softtop)
and this last blue one from Johor, I am still searching for that VIN.
(As I am informed correct it should be a later one from may be 1977)

Oooops,
I just now read you spoke about three PRESIDENTIAL Landaulets. So that is three from five produced RHD presidentials.

Greetings to the south and many thanks for the many detailpictures of the australian landaulet.
