Maintenance and lubrication service
Your car is reliable and safe. Do your share by giving it regular care and maintenance, which will be carried out conscientiously and carefully by the experts of our dealer's service departments.

A customer service voucher booklet listing all the required jobs is delivered with each vehicle. All the work performed according to charts A, B, C, D, E, will be confirmed in this booklet by the performing Mercedes-Benz dealer. In case of guarantee claims, this proof of regular maintenance according to our instructions is important.

When will your car require servicing?

Under normal driving conditions after

Oil changes
Engine
The first oil change is due between 180 and 600 miles (300 and 1,000 km) - the "A" service.

Subsequent changes are due at 6,000 miles (10,000 km) - "D" and "E" services. Under extreme conditions (short distance driving, dusty conditions, etc.), change engine oil every 3,000 miles (5,000 km).

In any case, however, change oil at least twice a year, in the spring and fall. The filter element must also be changed at every oil change.

Transmission

Automatic; normal operation: every 30,000 miles (50,000 km)
 
Rear axle
First change between 180 and 600 miles (300 and 1,000 km) - "A" service, second change at 3,000 miles (5,000 km) - "B" service. No subsequent change except at 12,000 miles "E" service (20,000 km) - check level at each service and add if necessary.

Fitting lubrication:

Under normal driving conditions: after each 3,000 miles (5,000 km), at the latest every 2 months.
For driving short distances, on bad, dusty roads or in mud and slush: after each 1,500 miles (2,500 km), but at least once a month.

Lubricants Every lubrication point on the vehicle has been designed for a specific type of lubricant to provide trouble-free operation. Therefore, use only those lubricants which have been tested and approved by us. Additional information is available from your Mercedes-Benz dealer.
